Massachusetts EOHLC Seeks Engineer to Serve on its Designer Selection Committee

The Massachusetts Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities (EOHLC) has asked MSPE to appoint a qualified, licensed-engineer candidate to serve on the EOHLC’s Designer Selection Committee (DSC). On behalf of the MSPE Board of Directors, I ask all potential candidates to seriously consider this opportunity.

Nominee Requirements
Must be a MA registered engineer, with interest in affordable housing

Appointee and his or her firm is prohibited from providing services on any EOHLC funded public housing construction projects

No potential conflict of interest (city employee, contracted consultant to city, no direct or indirect financial interest in any contract made by EOHLC)

Sept 16, 2020: Tour of BELD’s Watson Power Station

MSPE invites all members and non-member guests to join us on Wednesday, September 16 from 5 – 6:30 p.m. to experience a presentation and tour of the Braintree Electric Light Department’s power plant, the Watson Generating Station.

The event will kick off with introductions and refreshments, followed by a site overview presentation and safety notes before distribution of personal protective equipment (see below). Participants will then proceed to the production facility and begin touring the power plant.
