On December 7, 2012, MSPE treated guests to A Dickens Christmas Feast, an interactive, unique re-telling of Charles Dickens’ classic tale “A Christmas Carol” by the Marley Bridges Theatre Company. The annual event, held at the Newport Art Museum, was an excellent opportunity for MSPE members to gather and enjoy the season.

Hosted by Wentworth Institute of Technology, the event was open to MSPE members and non-members. WIT Students were invited to attend the open meeting/after-dinner presentation at no charge.

Four outstanding Massachusetts middle and junior high school students who represented Team Massachusetts won first place in the 2012 National MATHCOUNTS Competition.

Bob was a long-time member of MSPE, holding offices at both the Chapter and State levels – including a term as State President. More than 150 MSPE members and their guests took advantage of this unique opportunity to celebrate, network and socialize with fellow Professional Engineers, as well as government officials, engineering leaders from local universities, leaders and members of other engineering societies, and the president of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE). The Massachusetts Society of Professional Engineers (MSPE) commemorates 2012 as the society’s 60th anniversary of service to the Commonwealth. MSPE is the state society of licensed engineering professionals from all disciplines that promotes the ethical and competent practice of engineering, advocates licensure, enhances public health and safety, and fosters respect for the engineering profession.
