MSPE Seeks Volunteers to help at MATHCOUNTS Competitions

More than 100 volunteers are needed beginning in early February to help score and proctor tests at MATHCOUNTS competitions planned throughout Massachusetts.

MATHCOUNTS is the premier math enrichment, coaching and competition program in the country for middle school students in grades 6 through 8.  In Massachusetts, the program is made possible through the support and leadership of the Massachusetts Society of Professional Engineers (mspe.com).

This year is especially important, as Massachusetts students are seeking to defend the National Championship Title they have earned for the past two years, in 2012 and 2013.

In general, your volunteer commitment is approx. 4 hours on the day of the competition. (See below for all competition dates, times, and locations.)

No experience is necessary to volunteer; you must simply be over 18, willing and able to follow simple directions, and not be related to a competing student.  For more information or to volunteer, please contact the coordinator of the competition(s) you wish to support.
