MSPE Sponsors Forum and Dinner with the Massachusetts Board of Registration

MSPE President Kenneth Skinger, P.E. Esq., welcomed guests and introduced guest Speaker Dennis C. Drumm, Chair of the MA Board of Registration, who presented: Engineering – The Year in Review.
Mr. Drumm provided a year-in-review summary from the Massachusetts Board of Registration, and also reported on key issues from the recent annual meeting of the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) in St. Louis, Missouri. He also discussed forward hot-topics including important changes in how the FE Exam will be administered beginning in 2013. Following the presentation, attendees gained the valuable opportunity to ask questions on any topic, and Mr. Drumm provided thoughtful answers and insights.
About the MA Board of Registration of Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors:
The Board establishes monitors and enforces qualifying standards for the engineering and land surveying professions. It works to insure that persons practicing in these professions are competent to practice and are not endangering the life, health, safety and welfare of the public.

The National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying develops and administers the FE, PE, and SE exams for engineering licensure and the FS and PS exams for surveying licensure in the United States.
