Team Massachusetts Mathletes prepare for 2025 National MATHCOUNTS Competition
Team Massachusetts Mathletes were honored with a visit from Dr. Fabrice Kandjanga, Math Content Specialist with the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s Center for Instructional Support, before their last practice in preparation for National Competition.
Dr. Kandjanga congratulated the students on winning the Massachusetts State Competition, and wished them well as they prepare and travel to represent our state at the 2025 National MATHCOUNTS Competition in Washington, D.C. from May 10-12.
ALL Middle Schools Encouraged to Participate in MATHCOUNTS Programs
MATHCOUNTS Registration for the 2025-26 school year will open in August 2025, and ALL Massachusetts middle schools are encouraged to join the program at any time. Last year, 120 middle schools and more than 800 students participated in the MATHCOUNTS Competition Series. Around 1,500 students statewide enjoyed the benefits of the National Math Club, a free and flexible program that provides game instructions, math explorations, problem sets and monthly challenges for students of all skill levels.
Free resources are available to educators at mathcounts.org, and middle schools are encouraged to register for either or both of the MATHCOUNTS programs (National Math Club and Competition Series) at the mathcounts.org website.
