VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE:

Scorers and Proctors Needed to Support Chapter & State Competitions

In February and March every school year, Massachusetts MATHCOUNTS seeks volunteer Scorers and Proctors for the Chapter and State competitions. The time commitment is just 3 to 4 hours; no experience is necessary; must be over 18, able to follow simple instructions, and not be related to a competing student.  Nearly 100 volunteers are needed each year to support 6 Chapter Competitions at 6 testing sites throughout the state, as well as the State CompetitionView Competition Schedule

The six state-wide chapter competitions and the State Competition depend on donations to provide: Food for 900+ students; Trophies for Chapter & State winners; Team Massachusetts T-shirts, Supplies & Postage. Northeast Chapter Coordinator – Volunteer Opportunity

Massachusetts MATHCOUNTS seeks a volunteer Northeast Chapter Coordinator, as our previous coordinator has moved out of state. The time commitment is approximately 60 hours total (spread across the 4 months from December thru March). No experience is necessary; training is provided and the nuances of this role are well-documented for the coordinator to follow. Coordinators must also be over 18, and not be related to a competing student.

South of Boston Chapter Coordinator – Volunteer Opportunity

Massachusetts MATHCOUNTS seeks a volunteer South of Boston Chapter Coordinator, as we look to expand the program to include a new chapter due to double-digit growth. The time commitment is approximately 60 hours total (spread across the 4 months from December thru March). No experience is necessary; training is provided and the nuances of this role are well-documented for the coordinator to follow. Coordinators must also be over 18, and not be related to a competing student.
